Yerba buena 3rd thursdays
3rd Thursday is a monthly collaboration between the participating cultural organizations and coordinated by the Yerba Buena Alliance. Culture for Community is an Alliance of the area’s museums and cultural institutions who are partnering to offer free and discounted entry.
The Yerba Buena Alliance is a neighborhood organization dedicated to the stakeholders of the Yerba Buena Gardens, which is from Market to Harrison and Second to Fifty Street in downtown San Francisco. Find out more about the Yerba Buena Alliance, www.yerbabuena.org. The Alliance is a partner in Yerba Buena 3rd Thursdays with the California Historical Society, Museum of the African Diaspora, Contemporary Jewish Museum, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts and the Yerba Buena Gardens Festival with our partners B Bar, Novela and Thirsty Bear restaurant partners.

Culture for community
An alliance of arts and culture organizations around the Yerba Buena neighborhood that have joined together to offer special themed programs on two 3rd Thursdays in 2019. Culture for Community, a unique group of Yerba Buena district institutions, will open their doors for free on March 21 and September 19, 2019. In addition to providing free access to their regular arts and culture programming, each free day will feature programs focused on an issue of special importance to the Bay Area community. It includes 12 neighborhood organizations and bars and restaurants.
